📅 The Itinerary: Living the Jungle Life
Day 1: Leaving Civilization Behind
- 10:00 AM: Arrive at Ramnagar. Meet our driver.
- 10:30 AM: Enter the Dhangarhi Gate. This is where your adventure begins.
- The Journey In: The drive from the gate to the Dhikala Lodge takes about 1.5 hours through dense Sal forests. Keep your cameras ready; the safari starts the moment you enter the gate!
- 12:30 PM: Check-in at the historic Dhikala Forest Rest House.
- Lunch: Enjoy a simple, hot buffet lunch at the canteen.
- Afternoon (02:30 PM): Safari 1. Explore the vast grasslands (Chaurs). This is the prime habitat for elephants and tigers.
- Evening: Watch a wildlife documentary in the hall. Dinner and lights out early.
- Stay: Inside Dhikala Forest Lodge.
Day 2: In Search of the Stripes
- 05:30 AM: Wake up call.
- Safari 2: Morning Jeep Safari. Drive to the "Paar" (across the river) area. The morning light over the Ramganga is spectacular.
- Breakfast: Return to the lodge.
- The Deck: Spend the mid-day hours on the viewing deck overlooking the river. Spot crocodiles, turtles, and birds without moving an inch.
- Lunch: At the canteen.
- Safari 3: Evening Jeep Safari. Your guide will track the movement of predators.
- Stay: Inside Dhikala Forest Lodge.
Day 3: The Final Goodbye
- Safari 4: One last Morning Safari to soak in the jungle atmosphere.
- Breakfast: Check-out from the room.
- The Drive Out: The drive back to Dhangarhi Gate is a safari in itself.
- 12:00 PM: Exit the gate. Transfer to your own vehicle/taxi for your onward journey.
