Dhikala Canter Safari In Jim Corbett National Park

The Dhikala Canter Safari: Your Gateway to the Heart of Corbett

The Dhikala Zone is the superstar of Jim Corbett National Park. It is famous for its vast "Chaurs" (grasslands), stunning views of the Ramganga River, and the highest density of Royal Bengal Tigers.

But here is the rule: Jeep Safaris are not allowed for day-visitors in Dhikala.

Unless you have a booking at the Forest Lodge, the Canter Safari is your only ticket to explore this premium zone. At Corbett Online Booking, we specialize in securing these highly sought-after seats for you.

What is a Canter Safari?

A Canter is a robust, open-air 16-seater jungle bus. It provides a shared safari experience that is safe, exciting, and offers a unique perspective of the wildlife.

  • High Vantage Point: Because the Canter is taller than a Gypsy, you look down into the tall grass, making it easier to spot tigers and elephants hiding in the bush.
  • Safety: It is the safest option for families with small children or senior citizens.
  • Social Experience: Share the thrill of the chase with fellow nature lovers.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q: Can I book the whole Canter for my family?
A: Yes! If you are a large group (15-16 people), you can book the entire vehicle for a private experience. Contact us for a group quote.

Q: How many days in advance should I book?
A: Dhikala permits are extremely limited and open 30 days in advance. They often sell out within minutes. We highly recommend sending us your details at least 35-40 days prior to your trip so we can secure the seats the moment booking opens.

Q: Is it suitable for kids?
A: Absolutely. The ride can be a bit bumpy, but children usually love the "Jungle Bus" experience.
