Forest Lodges in Jim Corbett: The Ultimate Jungle Stay
Jim Corbett National Park offers something no other park in India does—the chance to sleep inside the core zone, surrounded by the raw wilderness.
Imagine waking up to the alarm call of a deer, sipping tea on a verandah while watching wild elephants graze, and falling asleep to the distant roar of a tiger. This is not a resort experience; this is the Forest Rest House (FRH) experience.
At Corbett Online Booking, we specialize in securing these highly coveted permits for you. Staying here is not about luxury; it is about the "Luxury of Location."
Why Stay in a Forest Lodge?
- Location, Location, Location: You are kilometers away from civilization. The nearest town is an hour away. You are in the tiger's territory.
- Exclusive Safaris: Staying here allows you to take early morning safaris before the outside jeeps enter the park.
- The Experience: These lodges are historic buildings, some built by the British over 100 years ago. They offer a rustic, old-world charm.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Q: Is it safe for families?
A: Yes. The fencing keeps animals out. However, you must follow the rules: do not step out of the compound, do not make noise, and do not carry strong-smelling food.
Q: Can we drink alcohol?
A: Strictly NO. Alcohol and smoking are prohibited inside the National Park.
Q: What if I don't get a booking?
A: FRHs have very few rooms. If sold out, we recommend staying in a luxury resort in the Dhikuli or Marchula area and taking Day Safaris.
