Phato Zone In Jim Corbett National Park

Phato Tourism Zone: The New King of Tiger Sightings

If you are a regular visitor to Jim Corbett National Park, you have heard the whispers. "Have you been to Phato?" "The sightings in Phato are insane right now."

Inaugurated in January 2022 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Phato Tourism Zone is the newest addition to the Corbett Tiger Reserve. Located in the northern part of the Terai West Forest Division, Phato has stunned wildlife enthusiasts with its incredibly high density of tigers and diverse wildlife.

At Corbett Online Booking, we are seeing a massive shift in interest. Tourists who used to only ask for Bijrani are now specifically requesting Phato. Why? Because in Phato, the jungle feels raw, unexplored, and teeming with life.

Why Choose the Phato Zone?

  1. High Tiger Probability: Phato has rapidly gained a reputation as a "Tiger Factory." The dense canopy combined with open water sources makes it an ideal habitat.
  2. Scenic Beauty: It is arguably the most picturesque zone. It features a unique "Tree House" point where you can step out of the jeep (under guard supervision) and view the landscape.
  3. Less Crowded: Being a new zone, it doesn't have the chaotic rush of Dhikala or Bijrani yet. It offers a more intimate safari experience.
  4. Diverse Wildlife: Apart from tigers, Phato is famous for elephants, spotted deer, wild boars, and over 250 species of birds.
